Barium carbonate (BaCO3) is a white powder, insoluble in water and soluble in most acids with the exception of sulfuric acid. It is often used in the production of special glass, glazes, brick and tile industry, ceramic and ferrite industry.
Barium Carbonate Powder is used for the preparation of rat poison, in the manufacture of glass and porcelain, and formerly for refining sugar. It is also used for controlling the chromate to sulfate ratio in chromium electroplating baths.
