Hollow glass microsphere is a low density, composed of water-resistant and chemically stable sodium-borosilicate glass. 

Using a specific method glass is pr oduced, which is mechanically pr ocessed to reach a glass powder. In the next step, this glass powder is added t o the microsphere reactor to manufacture glass microspheres of the same dimension of the wall. Glass microspheres combine three properties, being very light, mechanically stable and serving as an efficient insulator.
